The water spends some thirty years underground in the Lombardy mountains north of Bergamo, collecting minerals until it reaches 970 mg/L in total dissolved solids.

Carbonation is added at the source, producing a medium bead over a full, rounded body. Calcium, magnesium and sulfate give it a mineral grip and a slightly bitter finish, and the pH of 5.6 reflects that added gas.
