Fiji is an artesian water from an aquifer beneath Viti Levu, the main island of Fiji. Rain filters through volcanic rock there and gathers an unusually high level of natural silica, about 93 mg/L. Total dissolved solids reach 222 mg/L at a pH of 7.7. That silica is what people notice as Fiji's soft, smooth texture and faintly sweet taste.
